Helped my roommate go out and buy a brand-new 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000 on Saturday. I don’t know much about bikes myself, but I do know that 199 horsepower from a vehicle weighing less than 500 lbs is fucking fast.

Looking forward to carving some canyons alongside (or rather, very far behind) this thing in my Miata.

He’s no squid! New helmet & gloves were  purchased, and he still has other gear from when he rode a number of years ago.

Dayum. Are you going to ride it? I’ve never been on a liter bike, but I rode my friends R6 years ago and it was scary fast.

I have zero riding experience, so probably not anytime soon. I think I’m going to do a MSF class later this year to learn the basics and maybe go from there. I know I would love riding, but I simply don’t trust the average American driver to not kill me in traffic . So there have been some talks of a track bike. Who knows!

Liter bikes are crazy light today. I’m still satisfied with my 675. I’ve ridden an old 900......stupid fast. Can’t imagine a new liter bike.
